  • Responsible for the Planning and performance of GSM/UMTS/LTE networks for our client.
  • Develops standards, documents, processes, and practices that provide details on a variety of engineering topics (RF, RAN, network performance and optimization) that will be used by the market.
  • Works closely with regional or market teams on national/regional projects, new initiatives and overall support of planning, performance and optimization activities to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Focuses on integration and optimization of all technologies on sites as they are modernized with LTE in the low band and mid bands.
  • Ensures all new sites are parameter compliant, alarm free, and driving performance improvements into their respective clusters. Works with other departments to address any issues encountered.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineer or Computer Science, or other related field and at least 8 years of industry experience.
  • 8+ years of RF Planning and Design experience.
  • Experience in PCI/RSI/PRACH Planning in a multi Layer Multi Band environment.
  • Complete Understanding of RRM Algorithms , LTE Link Budgeting , Modulation , HARQ and UL/DL Scheduling etc.
  • Ability to dimension for specific QoS, Interference Power estimation & various types of MIMO.
  • Articulate Planning strategies to small and large groups.
  • LTE & UMTS E2E Design experience is also required.
  • Mastery of RF propagation principles, cellular theory, RF engineering tools and antenna theory.
  • Mastery of applicable Wireless industry standards. E.g. LTE, UMTS and GSM.
  • Experienced in the use of different RF Planning tools (experience with Asset tool will be preferred)
  • Expert Level MapInfo and skills.
